Enabling transient youths path to independence

Quality Housing

bOY IN HIS ROOM

When considering a placement opportunity for a young person (YP), location is a crucial factor for ensuring success. Many young people prefer a familiar area, making their comfort and familiarity a priority.

Access to good transport links and local amenities like shops and healthcare is vital for most young people. We also take into account the presence of schools, colleges, banks, and reliable transport networks.

For Unaccompanied Asylum-Seeking Children (UASC), being in a location with access to colleges offering ESOL classes is important. Additionally, access to culturally specific food and places of worship can be essential for some young people.

We prioritize safety by performing a Locality Risk Assessment for each property before making it available to ensure it is in a safe and secure location.
